Hi, I’m Vanessa, and I’m a Mind Body Coach.
I help people clarify how they want to feel and what they really want in life. My philosophy is to individualize each client’s coaching experience to work with their specific wants, needs, personality, preferences and learning style, in a way that's collaborative, challenging and fun.
Finding your own unique path to happiness starts with strengthening your mind-body connection to continually develop greater self awareness. Followed by figuring out what the heck to do with that self awareness, and then taking action in a way that is steeped in self kindness and full of experimentation. This is where I come in; to help clarify what’s really important and help you find specific strategies that enable you to make yourself a priority (and keep it that way). I help to simplify what feels complex and messy in life and find a way to unravel the knots. I’ll let you in on a little secret: personal growth doesn't have to be so hard all the time. Sure, it’s challenging work, but the rewards come along the way, not just when you ‘get there.’
To me, the most important foundation to achieving happiness in life is self awareness. We live in our bodies, but forget how to feel them. Our lives are full, but we struggle to engage with and enjoy what we are doing in each moment. We think constantly, but we are often unaware of what we are thinking and how it affects us. Our dreams and goals are important, but we get stuck on how to keep ourselves focused on moving forward. It doesn’t have to be that way!
My belief about the greatness of self awareness comes first from my personal experience. Years ago, I found myself living a life that wasn’t making me happy. It started with a general sense of being dissatisfied, and as I became more self aware, I started making big changes. It was intense! It sucked and it was the best thing that ever happened to me - after all it led me to become a CAN Coach!
I know that sometimes it can feel like making big changes is impossible. We tell ourselves a lot of stories about what we can’t do. It breaks my heart to see people not really living their lives because of stories they are telling themselves, and if I had a magic wand that's what I would change in the world. We need to constantly reexamine what we think is possible, or we end up living small lives with big stresses. When we allow ourselves to step into a place of possibility, amazing things happen.
