Nataliya Becker - Find Your Zen
Hi there, I am Nataliya! Thanks for stopping by, and I am looking forward to connecting with you. As you, I play a lot of roles in my life. In addition to being a coach, I am a trained yoga teacher, a mindfulness practitioner, a product manager, a community builder, a mother, a wife, a sister and a daughter. Life is busy, I totally get it. It is full of distractions and stressors, our bodies are overused, our minds are overwhelmed, and our souls are overworked. As I was (and still am!) looking for some much-needed balance in my own life, I learned and experienced a number of tools that helped find ease, be healthier and feel happier. Most importantly, the journey allowed me to discover my purpose- to inspire and empower people to live a more fulfilled and balanced life.
I was never the healthiest or the most athletic kid in town, I was born with a below average immune system, and was constantly almost failing gym class because I could never reach my toes with my fingertips. My analytical mind & perfectionistic personality did not make my situation any easier. I was your typical A+ student, I had a results-driven personality, and the desire to be the best. This kept me constantly on my toes, to say the least. All of this was accompanied with never-ending worries, rumination, occasional insomnia, and emotional breakdowns. I woke up at the age of 25 after a surgery with a suspicion for thyroid cancer. I woke up not just from the anesthesia, but from my own ignorance! I woke up to take full responsibility for the stress that I was putting on my body, for the worrying thoughts that kept me up at night, and for the way that I related to others through my filter of high expectations and demands. Yoga became more than just me stretching and strengthening my muscles in a hot room. My curiosity led me on a journey to explore and study meditation, mindfulness, yoga, emotional intelligence, life coaching and various leadership trainings.
As I became a mother and held various roles in corporate and start up worlds, I saw how my mindset and my emotional state impacted people around me. It’s amazing what a difference it makes to be able to see and control your own impulsive behaviours, or to just simply shut up sometimes!
Does this mean I am always in a Zen-like state? Absolutely not! I am human, just as human as anybody else. I know how to negotiate with my body and not allow it absorb stress. From my continued practice, I am able to explore the connection between thoughts, emotions, and my behavior in order to navigate my life better, and to keep learning. I have the tools to bring myself to place of clarity when the stakes are high. Most importantly, I now know how to put myself first, so that I can be the best I can for those around me. The truth is that you can’t pour from an empty cup.
I know it feels at times as the whole world rests on your shoulders, and you can do so much if only you do one more thing. It seems as the time and energy are running out, you are just at your edge. And you really believe you don’t have a choice. But you do, and I can help you see and make that choice.
I offer one-on-one & group coaching, one time 2 hour session to get you started with yoga and meditation practice. I also have a portfolio of workshops, and speaker engagements on topics of mindfulness in everyday life and at work, stress reduction, personal brand & vision and goal setting.
